Designed to meet 4.8 kPa exterior balcony live load requirements as well as providing a thermal break between the balcony and building.
Supports both face-mount and top-mount railing systems. (limitations may apply depending on slab positioning and door operation method.)
Balcony slabs can cantilever up to 1200mm (4’-0”) from the face of vertical precast cladding.
Units can be designed to a variety of balcony sizes and configurations. (Design limitations are governed only by shipping and crane restrictions.) Balcony panels with a 2% slope promote drainage away from the building, along with a smooth trowelled underside and an incorporated drip edge for effective run-off water management.
Railings and doors can be factory installed, arriving on-site for immediate installation. This process reduces both installation time and on-site labour costs. The construction method also provides a reduction in construction schedule.

Our new precast railing installation design streamlines the balcony construction process by integrating the railing installation directly onto the precast balcony slab.
Designed to support both face-mount and top-mount railings, this system offers flexibility while maintaining clean architectural lines and is Ontario Building Code compliant.
all the while providing consistent and accurate quality across all units.
Our Balcony Included Precast Units (BIPU) are engineered to meet the Ontario Building Code standard 4.1.5.3 for exterior balcony live loads of 4.8 kPa. These units offer an efficient, high quality solution for integrating balconies into building façades with precision and consistency.
